HVAC | SAPURA Pipe Layers

SAPURA RUBI is the final delivery in a contract of three pipe laying vessels for Sapura Navegação Marítima. All vessels were designed, engineered and built by IHC. The pipe laying vessels, named SAPURA ÔNIX, SAPURA JADE and SAPURA RUBI, are destined for Brazilian waters to develop deep-sea oilfields of up to 2.500 m on behalf of Petrobras.

HVAC

The ships accommodate 120 people. The accommodation areas are equipped with Heinen & Hopman HVAC systems, consisting of air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, the chilled water unit and heating systems.

Design conditions

The following design conditions were requested for accommodation, wheelhouse, offices and public spaces:

Outside-Inside Summer

Outside: 40˚C – 70% R.H.
Inside: 23 – 25˚C / 35 – 50% R.H.

Outside-Inside Winter

Outside: -10˚C
Inside: 23 – 25˚C / 35 – 50% R.H.
